I Stand in the Gap

On my knees before You, I come to You each day

For the lost souls of my family, to You I humbly pray

Just as David faced his enemy
and fought to bring them home

Not a woman or a child was lost and he recovered all

I’m believin ... I’m believin’ on Your miracles

And I’m trustin’ ... I’m trustin’ in Your word

And so I’m standing ... I’m standing on Your promises

Empowered by the Spirit of the Lord

And now I’m Knowinthat I can overtake the enemy

Cause I’m shielded ... yes, I’m shielded by the blood

And so I’m fightin’ ... I’m fightin’ for the victory

I can’t be shaken, I can’t be overcome!

Chorus

I’ll stand in the gap, and I’ll fight ‘til all is won

For every brother, every sister, every daughter, every son.

My mind is on the Master, our great and awesome God

Yes, Ill stand in the gap, and I’ll fight to bring them home.

Yes I’m believin ... Lord, I’m believin’ on Your miracles

And I’m trustin’ ... yes, I’m trustin’ in Your word

And so I’m standing, yes, I’m standing on Your promises

Empowered by the Spirit of the Lord … And,

Repeat chorus

To bring them home …

Bridge

For I know who I am … and I know what I believe!

Deeply seeded in Your word, oh God, that’s working miracles in me!

That’s why I’m … knowin that I can overtake the enemy

Cause I’m shielded, yes, I’m shielded by the blood

And so I’m fightin’ … yes, I’m fightin for the victory

I can’t be shaken, I can’t be overcome! … Yes,

Repeat chorus ...

Cause I’m believin’, and I’m trustin

That’s why I’m standin’, and I’m knowin

That I’m shielded, that's why I’m fightin

Cause I’m believin’, and I’m trustin

Yes I’m standin’, and I’m knowin Amen
